Description:

 Is Medium built but slightly buff, height of 5'8" and 175 lbs. , has Hazel almond-shaped eyes, Short crew cut hair, and fair slightly tan skin.

Has a small scar on his upper right eyebrow, three larger gashes on his upper right arm, a tiger tooth pendant hanging from a leather strap around his neck, above which is the Japanese symbol for ruronin, and in his back is a traditional Japanese tattoo of a Samurai warrior in red armor.

Usual Clothing: 

on the streets, he is mostly seen wearing Brown khaki cargo pants in winter times or shorts in the summer, a simple tee undershirt over either a plaid or one-color shirt of either green and blue color, a black leather trench coat, a pair of old army leather brown boots with a leather backpack. As he prefers to dress down in simple street clothes during his time off to better blend in and be non-decrepit. 

At work, he usually wears a simple signature shirt or polo shirt over slacks and either a knit v-neck sweater or coat. He carries his things inside a leather messenger bag. He prefers to dress professionally and be presentable with his status as a Doctor. 

Personality: 

Mostly because of his warrior heart and his bestial side, he can be quite short-tempered tempered, and easily gives into anger at times. Also because of his deep dedication to his work, holding his honor and word in high regard. Most if not all those who don't fully know him have the impression that he is nothing more than a cold-hearted brute and lose sight of his human side.

During his spare time, he tends to be found either at the local library or research lab spending long hours doing research. Or spends time in his home Dojo or downtown Dojo School practicing and honing his Martial arts skills at the same time teaching his current class. Most of whom are from some of the local charities he sponsors.

And being somewhat the creature of habit he tends to frequent the local Japanese establishments drinking Sake and occasionally smoking. There he tends to relax a bit and try to forget the burden of his life.

History: 

As a child he was found wounded and abandoned in the forest by a retired samurai turned Shinto monk named Bansou Konjo Haruhiro and his white wolf Kenshin. Those who felt sorry for him took him in and nursed him back to health but upon doing so he found that lost his memory. So from then he adopted the young boy in his care and named him Jimyoin Ryoushi Kenji, after his former Teacher's name. And from there Jimyoin lived a fairly simple life with Konjo in the forest temple monastery with the other monks. And in time when Jimyoin came of age he too became a monk and vowed to live the teachings of the Shinto Temple to heart. As time passed Kojo grew old and could no longer travel, and Jimyoin took over his duties. During one of his travels to a nearby, he comes across a wounded foreigner who according to the law of their time. Was not to be let to live and must be immediately turned over to the nearest authority but then feeling sorry for the man. He helped him get better and hid him away in a nearby cave by the Temple. The man got better tells him his name was Jarrod Conner and he was a British explorer who got swept off his ship during a storm. So despite his better judgment, he tries to help the man off the country to save his life and work some deals with some local Chinese traders. He gets them to agree but then the night before the escape they are caught by local soldiers and Jarrod is immediately put to death. Jimyoin is taken to the local Shogun charged with harboring the stranger and is sentenced to death as well. But then Konjo intervenes and in the process commits hakiri, giving up his life in exchange for Jimyoin.

Stricken with grief and dishonored by his action he is expelled from the Temple. And unwittingly one of the close friends of Konjo named Hiroshi Jio angered by what happened had a local shaman place a cures on him. In which Jimyoin was cursed to become a hound of the night whenever the full moon appeared in the night sky. Forever to hunt and roam the night in this cursed form till either time or he releases him from the curse. And so from then on Jimyoin with Kensin bound themselves to serve Hiroshi in the hopes of winning his forgiveness which never came. Even with his dying breath he still cursed them. And so after burying him they left and set upon their way wandering the lands. As time passes seeing no way of ending the curse and with the death of Kenshin in the hands of some local farmers who feared them thinking they were demons.

Alone, disheartened, and seeing nothing else to live for he made a complete change in his life. Learning all the deadly Martial arts and ways he became an assassin for hire, a Ruronin. Traveling the world and lending his service to anyone or any group willing to pay for his expertise. This went on for some time till one day fate stepped in and while in Hong Kong he was paid by a local triad boss. To kill a certain Public Official's daughter Yuriko Ishi as a warning for him to back off their group. He follows through, kidnaps her, and holds her for Ransom. As time passed something in him changed and the longer he was with her the more he fell in love with her. Till the time came he could no longer go through with killing her. So he turns and instead kills the triad leaders off before releasing her back to his father. Once she was released she married him, and they moved to America to escape their past and with her, he slowly turned his life around. Turning his back on his former life of death as an assassin he refocused himself to life and became a doctor. But time passed and she too died of old age and was left alone.

And so with the wealth he'd acquired through his life, his vast knowledge, and after living through the dark times. And living with the newfound freedom he now spends his time honoring Konjo's and Yuriko's memories by helping those in need and doing good in his life.

Sample Roleplay: 

As Jimyoin slowly awoke on the floor that morning dressed only in a pair of Gray sweat pants. He stands to his feet and as he does so he feels a heavy weight bear down on his wrist. As he turned to look he noticed the two heavy silver-lined shackles attached to his wrist and ankle.

"Huh? Ah, yes now I remember...last night was a full moon and I just ran out of serum ."

And so after getting back on his feet he then do a bit of stretching. As he did so glancing around he saw the bare metal room he was in that had only the floor lined with brown carpeting. And in front of him, a small latch opens to reveal a solidarity key hanging inside. He then takes it and undos his shackles. After which he then walks forward and stands in front of one of the walls he could hear. The clang of the locks hinge unlatching and the slight hiss as the door opens before him and he then steps out unto his secret basement shelter. Which was sparsely furnished with nothing more than a small fridge and sofa on one side. A long metal table on the other is laden with medical research equipment.

And so glancing at the couch he notice his bathrobe. He then grabs it and puts it on before walking toward another door at the far end which he opens. By placing his hand on a blank slate of plastic by the right side of the door. It opens and walking through it he enters his loft's underground cellar.
He then grabs it and undos his shackles.
